Custom PM Dashboard 🤝 Revit started with a simple need: a quicker way to jump between Revit and project data. This is all made with an AI coding agent, vibe-coded, backed by my 8 years of experience in software development.

First I'll give an overview of the project management tool I have been developing for the firm — it presents every active job in a live dashboard, summarizing status, scope, next steps, and milestones. This is a project that continues to evolve, and it deserves its own case study.

Agents are uber proficient at creating custom dynamic functions in Revit. I am aggressively building productivity tools through the pyRevit MCP to speed up our designers and company workflows. In this example, I added custom buttons to the Revit ribbon that connect the open model to both the PM Dashboard and the project's folder on the office network drive.

From any model you can jump straight to that project's card on the site or folder on the drive. No more reading a job number off one screen and searching for it in the next.
